“Wanted” is quite a good movie that I saw on Wednesday night with four friends from a new group that I belong to, “Come Out Penrith”. The group has decided to have regular gatherings for meals at local restaurants, movies, stage shows and special events. Between you and me the convenor, Brad, is very hot and other members are also way cute, especially Matt.A nerdy office worker (James McAvoy) discovers his inner Lethal Weapon in this hyper-kinetic action blockbuster. Angelina Jolie is the gunslinging female assassin assigned to assist his eye-popping transformation, while Morgan Freeman is the boss of their fraternity of assassins. In this high-testosterone world of fast cars, hot women and physical punishment, metrosexual is mincemeat.Highlights include lots of blood, thrilling vehicle carnage and Angelina’s arse on display naked (I wonder what Brad thought of that!)For me, the special effects of curving bullets, some seriously graphic murders, one very laughable sex scene and a very cute new actor in James McAvoy (would love to see more of him, literally, brief glimpses of his bare chest were not enough, sexy as it was) made the movie one to see and enjoy. It won’t win an Oscar.
