‘What if instead of settling down and conforming to order all those years ago, I chose rather to be my spirit and search out happiness?’…
I own to admit, I sort of swiped this movie blog on a whim after reading JUST BEAUTIFUL MEN without knowing much about the book, the picture or any backstory. I think some aspects of the movie are somewhat predictable, but I have show that the playing and directing overall should pass some of my expectations. I take no thought how the story resolves itself, suffice to say that the writer of Just Beautiful Men doesn’t wholeheartedly condone some of the actions taken in the end …
After brilliant wins against Hawthorne and Carlton (lets bury the losses to St Kilda and Brisbane for the moment), how could the Sydney Swans lose to the lowly ranked and previously winless Fremantle Dockers?
Part of the trouble was the want of force in the advancing line (we were missing Hall and O’Loughlin) plus the authority by Freo with Matthew Pavlich and Luke McPharlin firing on all guns.
Coach, Paul Roos was frustrated that his team started slowly and so the want of firepower up forward hurt the Swans’ chances of bridging the gap of trailing by 26 at the major turn.
“One of the main disappointments for the dark was that we couldn’t win for Kirky,” Roos said.
“He was the one that had to put us on his shoulders again and about of the guys would be defeated in their performance based on what Brett has granted the footy club.
“He had to mobilize the troops again and it was disappointing we didn’t win for his milestone.
“A lot of the guys owed it to Brett to fly the flag better than we did, particularly in the 1st half.”
Paul Bevan, Nick Malceski, Martin Mattner and Rhyce Shaw worked hard, but just having 36 inside-50 entries for the game meant it was hard to get the job done.
The society will be hoping for the hasty return of Michael O’Loughlin and Barry Hall to offer strong targets when the globe does get up forward.
The Swans now take a 2-3 win-loss record and host Richmond at the SCG next Sunday.

It is not much that a picture has a huge impact on me. Yes, I enjoy movies, even ones that the critics have panned. I often wish to see a favorite movie more than once. And of class I wish to part my enjoyment by seeing a picture with someone special. But having an affect on me, an impact that opens my eyes, that informs, that brings my emotions to the front, that brings laughter and weeping and repugnance and floor and wonder, is not something that many movies do for me. But RANG DE BASANTI does this and more.

Rang De Basanti (Hindi: रंग दे बसंती, IAST: Raṅg De Basantī; IPA: [rəŋg d̪e bəsənt̪i], translation: Paint It Yellow) is a 2006 Indian drama film written and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. It features an ensemble cast comprising Aamir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Madhavan, Kunal Kapoor, Siddharth Narayan, Sharman Joshi, Atul Kulkarni and British actress Alice Patten in the leading roles. Made on a budget of Rs. 250 million (US$5.5 million), the filming was accomplished in and some New Delhi.
The chronicle is approximately a British documentary filmmaker who is set to have a take on Indian freedom fighters based on diary entries by her grandfather, a former officeholder of the British Army in India. Upon arriving in India, she asks a grouping of five young men to act in her film. They agree, but afterward they start filming a champion of theirs is killed in a fighter aircraft crash, with government corruption appearing to be the root cause of the incident. This event radicalizes them from being carefree to passion-driven individuals who are driven to revenge his death.
The film’s release faced strong resistance from the Indian Defence Ministry and the Animal Welfare Board due to parts of the picture that portrayed the use of MiG-21 fighter aircraft and a banned Indian horse race respectively. The film, which released globally on January 26, 2006, was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2006 BAFTA Awards. The picture was also India’s official entry for the Golden Globe Awards and the Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category, though it was not nominated for either ceremony. A. R. Rahman’s soundtrack, which earned mixed reviews, had two of its tracks considered for the Academy Award nomination. The movie was not entirely well-received by critics and audiences for its production values, but also had a detectable influence on Indian society. In India, besides several technical awards, the movie won the Best Film award at the annual Filmfare Awards among other Bollywood award ceremonies. Along with a gross receipts of Rs. 1.36 billion (approximately US$30 million) at the box office making it one of the highest grossing films in the Bollywood since the year 2000,[3] it had the highest-selling DVD title sales at the sentence of its release.Source: Wikipedia.com
An un-named Australian Soldier (Digger) from World War 1. He is a really handsome young man and I’m sure if he survived that awful conflict would have made someone very happy (if it was a woman he made happy then his children I’m sure would likewise be very handsome).
Many of our finest young men went off to war and many never returned. May we constantly remember each and every one of them and their sacrifice.Like us today, they were attracted to both men and/or women, yet they were inclined to hazard their lives for their country.

In the Bay Area Reporter this week, it said, Olivia clients are reportedly rallying to bear the popular lesbian travel company financially as it seeks to produce $1 billion by April 30.
Olivia customers received a letter in mid-March announcing the launching of the company’s capital campaign, which offers a kind of charter membership donation levels ranging from a low of $500 to a high of $10,000. The great campaign comes amid the world economic downturn and on the heels of a case by former company executives that settled out of court last November.
The Bay Area Reporter obtained a transcript of the letter from a longtime Olivia traveler. The woman declined to be identified or interviewed for this article.
The letter, which was signed by Judy Dlugacz, owner and co-founder, outlined ways in which members could “guide action” by becoming a “charter member,” planning an Olivia vacation, throwing a family party for Olivia, or donating directly to the company. – WHAT?!
Since when did Olivia become a non-profit?? Olivia’s unusual campaign sparked suspicion about the company’s financial stability. I am fairly sure Olivia is the only LGBT vacation company that is presently offering charter memberships. Atlantis Events Inc. which bought rival RSVP Vacations in 2007 and operates both companies, doesn’t make a charter membership program, according to Oscar Yuan, vice chairman of sales and marketing. R Family Vacations also doesn’t have such a program, according to Gregg Kaminsky, who co-founded the party with Kelli O’Donnell, the spouse of lesbian entertainer Rosie O’Donnell.
Kaminsky said that R Family Vacations does provide some benefits, such as cocktail receptions, jackets, and other gifts to loyal customers of the six-year-old company, but people “don’t get to buy a particular membership.”
Dluugacz says they are having “cash flow issues” with the resorts and cruises they bring with.nbsp; And she says that everyone in the line is in the same boat. Hmmmm, Atlantis, RSVP, and R Family Vacations aren’t experiencing cash flow issues with the cruise lines and resorts they act with, according to Yuan and Kaminsky……
You live I am having some “cash flow issues” as well!
If anyone wants to have a contribution or make a benefit party, please let me know!
